We drove into Port Lavaca looking for good, fresh seafood and Bayside did not disappoint. We had the jumbo fried shrimp with baked potatoes and calamari for our appetizer.

The calamari was fresh cut and hand breaded. The shrimp with jumbo and freshly cooked. The breading wasn’t heavy, and it was very flavorful. The size was perfect. You had the choice of 6 shrimp all the way up to 20.

We are so glad we stopped in, this was some of the best shrimp we’ve had in a long time and it was worth the drive over from Bay City.

Shrimp was fresh and lightly breaded served with salad and french fries.The ribeye was seasoned perfectly, served with a baked potato that came fully loaded. The broccoli and squash mix was flavorful and the coleslaw was light. Server was attentive and we were never for want. The cashier was a delight and even offered my husband her reading glasses when he was traversing the bill. It definitely warrants another visit next time in town. Bravo to a job well-done.

Great place to dine in or take out, my fiance had chicken fried rice & egg rolls and I ordered  6 piece shrimp. Btw the egg rolls are the best! Always fresh food. Love this place. And the servings are very large. Enough to eat off of twice.

Love the options for fried or grilled shrimp and fish. Love the egg rolls! Busy at lunchtime but still easy to get in and out fast.

Saw in the reviews waitress was rude and was worried about that, but at the same time we wanted some seafood so we decided to go. Waitress since the start was really NICE, food and drinks came in fast. She even offered and brought our son food first. She check up on us frequently. Food was delicious too. Definitely 10/10.

A fantastic lunch experience. It is a causal atmosphere. Great dining space. The servers are all friendly, pleasant, quick, and helpful. On the occasion we visited, the three of us enjoyed a great Lobster Alfredo dish. The portion was very generous and loaded with lobster. It could have easily been split and shared by two people. The price was very reasonable and the quality of the food was very good. I noticed they had large round tables available like that of ones in Chinese restaurant. They could seat 8 guest comfortably.

A nice family style seafood restaurant highly recommend when you’re in town.

Family of 5 came in on a Sunday. Fresh seafood and good service. Will come back next time in town!

We are on vacation and Jamie was absolutely amazing and made the best suggestions on meals for my children and assisted me with ensuring I avoided my food allergies. The food and atmosphere were just as good! If you’re ever in the area give them a try!!

Very enjoyable dinner.  I ordered the fried catfish and it came in a very light batter so did not cover the taste of the fish itself.  I ordered gumbo to go for a later meal and it was just as tasty as I expected from eating the catfish.  Service was great and friendly.  I was able to park my truck towing a small camper in their lot.

The family stopped here on our way to Houston and we really enjoyed the service and food. Our server was very kind and friendly but I didn’t get his name. He made our visit so much better. He is definitely an asset to this restaurant and I highly recommend this restaurant for their delicious seafood as well. I am including photos of their menu to see all the food they serve.

By the way, they are OPEN for Dine In.

We really enjoyed the shrimp, oysters and scallops. They were served hot and crispy. Good fries too. We would definitely eat here again. The stuffed crab was too different for me so I wouldn’t order it again. Overall, great food and friendly service.

Great food, large portions, ok service, prices are pretty steep…still recommend.

Haven't visited Bayside in awhile, (5 years +) but I stopped by earlier because I had a hankerin' for some chicken fried rice, and it's just as good as it always was. The host, Quoc, was awesome and friendly, and nice lady who checked us out was very pleasant and professional, as well. Lots of selection on the menu, excellent fried rice, and it was pretty busy, as well, and they got our to-go order out much quicker than I expected. Didn't even have time to finish a beer! 😅

Holimoli if you leave hungry it's your fault!  The fried catfish was lightly breaded and cooked perfect.   And it was enough for 3 people.  Great service as well

We had grilled shrimp and flounder, excellent flavor, very gracious waitress, we'd recommend and go back.

Catfish is good both grilled and fried. Gumbo is also good.

I ordered the grilled seafood.  I wish I had taken a picture of it.  It was well plated.  Impeccable presentation. All the seafood was cooked perfectly.  Scallops were browned on the outside and medium on the inside.  Fish was firm and juicy all the way from head to tail.  Vegetables were lightly buttered, firm but cooked through.

Even though the dining room is on the simpler side the seafood came out just like expected in a fine dining establishment.  Kudos to the chef

We had a great meal and it was priced just right. It’s not a showy place but it had a pleasant, family atmosphere and portions were more than expected. I really liked the grilled redfish!
